CNC Machinist/Set up with Okuma Vertical Mill

Set Up experience

   


Position Objective
:  Responsible for set‑up and/or prove‑out new and repeat jobs. Maintain machine set‑up and tooling to produce high quality close tolerance parts at an acceptable production rate.  Must have Okuma CNC Vertical Mill Set Up experience. Please do not send any resumes without Okuma vert. mill set up background.  (1st shift, M-F.)

Essential Functions May Include:

  • Install and properly align all fixtures and tooling required to set‑up new and repeat jobs.
  • Prove‑out new CNC programs and processes.
  • Assist engineering personnel in troubleshooting and corrective actions for program, tooling, or process problems.
  • Evaluate first piece inspection reports and make any necessary changes.
  • Knowledge of machine controls, program codes, fixtures and tool offsets, and CNC system.
  • Utilize all necessary gages and equipment to properly inspect parts.
  • Understand and properly utilize all items included in TDP folders (process sheets, set‑up sheets, prints, quality plans).
  • Completion of all required documentation. (SPC, time records, log books, travelers, process updates, discrepant part tags)
  • Keep supervisor aware of any condition that may affect the efficiency, quality, or completion of jobs.
  • Assist in training other personnel in safe and proper operating procedures of equipment, and maintaining quality.
  • Set‑up and operate secondary machines and deburring operations.
  • Keep a clean and safe machine and work area.
  • Assist maintenance personnel in the troubleshooting and repair of the machine.
  • Communicate with personnel from other shifts involved in the operation of the machine.

Finishing Department Supervisor

   


Position Objective
:  Responsible for management of department personnel, purchasing and maintenance of production materials and supplies.  Responsible for department's adherence to safety and hazardous material handling and recordkeeping standards.

Essential Functions May Include:

  • Production planning and making sure that production will flow smoothly through the department 
  • Administrative functions associated with supervision such as review of department personnel and daily time sheet approval
  • Adherence to hazardous waste handling procedures and recordkeeping
  • Order and maintain inventory of paints and thinners, maintain inventory of production hardware
  • Must be familiar with mil-spec finishes, anodizing, chromate, impregnation and passivation

Qualifications

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 5-8 years experience managing metal finishing, plating and painting
  • Knowledge of simple assembly operations.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of EPA recordkeeping requirements
  • Computer knowledge (Windows, Word, Cadkey Wireframe)

  • Ability to read blueprints and create finishing processes
  • Create quality certifications for finishing processes
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area

First Piece Inspector

   


Position Objective
:  Responsible for validating 100% of all characteristics generated by an individual operation prior to the release of production for that operation. (Need 2nd Shift, and maybe 1st. Shift.  M-F, some Saturdays, full time. Only qualified apply)

Essential Functions May Include:

  • Interpretation of drawings/specs.
  • C.M.M. and manual gauging inspections
  • Releasing materials for production operation
  • Liaison between Manufacturing, Lead Inspector and Quality Engineering
  • Review job history
  • Verify operation gauging
  • Maintain all proper documentation
  • SPC validation
  • D.C.C.C.M.M. operations
  • Maintain applicable scrap logs
  • Assist in all Quality Control activities as directed

Quality Engineer

   


Position Objective
:  Responsible for reviewing all customer and internal order documentation to identify and impose all quality requirements. (1st Shift M-F only, only qualified apply)

Essential Functions May Include:

  • Review customer purchase orders and related specifications
  • Review all customer issued specifications, drawings and ECO's
  • Review internal engineering drawings and specifications
  • Interpretation of drawings/specs
  • Establish inspection processes/plans
  • Identify all gauging needs and availability
  • Establish and/or verify feasibility of implied control features
  • Review all nonconforming material
  • Assist in establishing statistical controls (SPC)
  • Work with Project Management and Engineering to resolve identified concerns
  • Evaluation of material and process suppliers
  • Work with customer representatives
  • Assist Manufacturing and Quality Personnel in clarification of all quality requirements
  • Maintain proper documentation

CNC Vertical Lathe Machinist/Setup 
 


Position Objective:  Must have Vertical Lathe Class A experience.  Live tooling background preferred.  Okuma Lathe experience a plus.  Responsible for Lathe set‑up and/or prove‑out new and repeat jobs. Paint Masker
/Unmasker

 

 

 


Position Objective
:  Responsible for preparing parts for painting, and then unmasking of parts after painting is complete.

Essential Functions May Include:

  • Prepare parts that are ready for masking (degrease, etc.)
  • Mask parts ready for painting
  • Unmask parts after painting
  • Remove masking tape residue and deburr paint edges
  • Touch‑up paint and chromate areas after final op. is completed
